Shining Star
On May 4th, you were awarded the Shining Star award, the fourth in the tier of star awards. You were so thrilled about the "ceremony" this time because Daddy was able to come to this one for the first time. Grandma was also there to help celebrate! Unfortunately, the star program ended at the end of May and you were only 2 stickers away from receiving the Shimmering Star Award....there's always next year. We're so proud of you and your good behavior!!
Last Soccer Practice
You had your last soccer practice of this year on Monday, May 3rd. You all went through your regular drills then at the end had a mock soccer game which you really got into. You scored your first real goal and made an assist to one of your team mates to score a goal! We were sad to see soccer come to an end because you thoroughly enjoyed playing! Everyone that played received a medal or necklace as you call it and two weeks before you all received matching t-shirts....We can't wait for the next season to begin!
Dental Checkup
Easter 2010
This year the Easter bunny delivered your's & Aiden's Easter baskets at the front door after your naps. You guys had to rush through all your goodies in your basket so we could hunt Easter eggs before the rain came. Luckily, we made it just in time!! You had SO much fun going through your basket and your favorite thing was your harmonica!! In your basket you got some new books, a harmonica, candy and a few other little things. Hunting eggs was so much fun this year! With two munchkins able to look for eggs by themselves (mostly), Daddy & I were able to kinda stand back and watch you guys.
Picking & Playing
You love, love, LOVE to pick "flowers" anytime we're outside. You're latest craze is having me make "jewelry" out of your flowers--from crowns to rings to bracelets, you are definitely a real flower child! Here are some pics of you picking some flowers & playing outside in April.
Easter Egg Hunt 2010
On April 3rd, we attended an Easter egg hunt at Grandma's church (Sylvan Hills First United Methodist Church). It began at 10:00 with some stories about the meaning of Easter and then all the kids helped make Easter baskets for those less fortunate. Then we split up into age-appropriate groups and hunted eggs. You and Aiden were in the same group. This was the first year that you were really had a lot of fun and totally understood the whole "hunting" process!! You were really sweet to Aiden and helped him hunt a couple of eggs, too!
