Easter Egg Hunt 2010

On April 3rd, we attended an Easter egg hunt at Grandma's church (Sylvan Hills First United Methodist Church). It began at 10:00 with some stories about the meaning of Easter and then all the kids helped make Easter baskets for those less fortunate. Then we split up into age-appropriate groups and hunted eggs. You and Aiden were in the same group. This was the first year that you were really had a lot of fun and totally understood the whole "hunting" process!! You were really sweet to Aiden and helped him hunt a couple of eggs, too!

"Soccer ball"

We enrolled you in a 6 week soccer program at the local YMCA in North Little Rock. Grasskickers meet every Monday and our "class" meets from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Due to the age group, they require a parent to be present with you on the field, so Daddy is playing with you while I take pictures and wrangle Aiden.  Your first practice was Monday, April 4th and you LOVED it!! You did very well listening to the instructor and she actually taught you guys some real drills dealing with kicking the ball. You still want to grab the ball with your hands from time to time but she said you were AWESOME at picking the sport up so fast!! You were so stinkin' cute in your pink cleats, I have to admit!! Here are a ton of pics I snapped...so glad that you're enjoying this because Daddy & I want to encourage you and Aiden to be well rounded & active in sports!

Backyard fun

We have been dying for it to get warm enough to go outside and play!! We have such a large backyard with plenty of room for you and Aiden to run and be wild and since Santa brought you a tricycle for Christmas you've been wanting to learn how to ride it so bad!! Here are some pics of you riding it--you still don't have the pedaling concept down yet but you're getting there.....

Shooting Star

On March 16th you received your Shooting Star award. Like the last 2 star award programs, Grandma & I were there to watch you and as always, you were grinning from ear to ear with pride. I'm so proud of you for behaving so well for your teachers!!

And just so we can remember years down the road who these kiddos were in your class (from left to right) we have James, you, Connor (blonde boy behind your head), Catie, Alex (behind Catie's head), Whitman, Max and Layla....

Park Playdate

Now that the weather is so nice we are able to have a lot more playdates with your friends. Our first one of the season was on March 6th from 9:30 until almost noon at Hinson Park. Lots of your friends were there: Whitman, Drew, Noah, Maggie, and Catie plus Helen (Maggie's sister) and Davis (Drew's little brother).

You guys have so much fun swinging and sliding and running around crazy!! Mr. Todd (Whitman's dad) and Mr. Brian (Drew's dad) walked to the creek with a few of you so you could throw rocks in the water!!
I think your favorite part of the playdate was indulging in all of the goldfish and juice boxes Mrs. Krissy (Catie's mom) brought!!  This playdate is where all the pictures were taken.

Since then, we have had two more playdates: one at Noah's house on March 13th and the last one at Hinson Park on March 27th.  We definitely plan on having many more this spring & summer!!

This is the face I get a lot these days...

I know this is horrible, but I just had to take a picture of you throwing a fit at bedtime one night. Most nights you'll go to bed just fine (and by that I mean you'll get up a couple of times to get tucked back in which is still a tad bit annoying because if you wouldn't get out of bed then you wouldn't need to be tucked back in in the first place) but then there are the not so fine nights...which usually consist of you screaming and throwing a huge fitand these are usually how those fits look.....

Our "fort"

You love to build tents or forts in the living room. We get a blanket and drape it over the coffee table and furniture and you absolutely love to play in the "cave"....well, that is until Aiden tears the tent down, but it's fun while it lasts.
